GENERAL QUESTIONS

Do you still shuttle equipment in the rain?   
We are still open and shuttling during rain or forecasted rain. We, however, do not allow river trips in thunder or lightning. Always check your favorite weather app or website prior to planning your trip. Use your discretion when it comes to your safety and enjoyment of your trip. Note: Please do not call us to inquire about the weather. Please check your favorite weather app for information regarding Trego, WI weather. We use the weather channel app to provide updates to our customers.
What time do you close?   
We are open Monday through Sunday at 9am. We close our office and ice cream shop at 6pm.
Can I bring my pet on the river?   
Yes, however, they must be always on a leash while at Jack’s and while you are using the St. Croix National Riverway. Absolutely no animals on our tubing trips.
Can you hold our keys?   
We do not hold keys but do offer lockers to rent for a small fee to keep your personal belongings. We also sell waterproof cell phone cases and waterproof boxes and totes in the office.
Is there a parking fee?   
Our parking is free to our customers. Anyone utilizing our parking lot without permission will be fined a minimum of $50.

TUBING

Do I have to wear a life jacket?    
Life jackets are required to be always worn for anyone under the age of 13. Jack’s Outfitters provides life jackets at no cost to you.
Will you shuttle our own tubes?    
No personal tubes are allowed on our premises. Our landing is PRIVATE and only for our customers. If you are planning a trip down the river with your own equipment, be sure to make the proper arrangements.
What time is your latest tube shuttle?    
Our latest tube shuttle varies throughout the year. Check our home and tubing website pages for updates on the latest shuttle. All tubes are required to be back prior to dark.
What size are your cooler rafts?    
We have cooler rafts to rent. Our cooler rafts are square shaped with an inside diameter of 28X17 inches and fits up to a 50 qt cooler.
Can I float in a cooler raft?    
We only allow children of a certain weight to rent cooler rafts as kids tubes. Adults are not allowed to rent cooler rafts as their floating tube.
Are there multiple trip options for tubing?    
No, we offer one trip for tubing, however you can float multiple times each day and no additional charge. The trip lasts 3-4 hours without stopping.

CANOEING/KAYAKING

What type of canoes do you rent?    
We use Old Town Discovery 169. They are 16-foot 9-inch heavy duty plastic with two seats. Usable weight capacity of 1300 lbs.
What type of kayaks do you rent?    
We use 10 ft. Old Town Vapors, 10 ft sit on top kayaks, and tandem kayaks for rent.
Do I have to bring my own paddles and life jackets?    
Life jackets and paddles for any boat are included in the rental cost, you can bring your own if you would like. Life jackets are required to be readily accessible for all ages over 13 when canoeing or kayaking. Any child under the age of 13 must always wear a life jacket.
Do you shuttle personal canoes or kayaks?    
We do offer a shuttle service Monday through Friday for personal boats for a fee. We do not offer the shuttle service on Saturdays or Sundays.
